Kolby Gibson is a Software Engineer at TRADEPORT, where he plays a key role in advancing product development and streamlining internal processes to support innovation and operational efficiency. He joined the company in the summer of 2025, bringing a strong technical foundation shaped by his academic and professional experiences.

Kolby earned a double major in Computer Science and Cyber Security from Randolph-Macon College in 2023, where he also competed as a student-athlete on the varsity volleyball team. His competitive drive and commitment to excellence continue to inform his approach to engineering challenges. Prior to TRADEPORT, Kolby worked as a software engineer at a large data warehouse, where he developed his technical expertise but sought a more dynamic, client-facing environment—an opportunity he ultimately found at TRADEPORT. He is passionate about optimizing existing systems and contributing to initiatives that enhance product performance.

Originally from a small town and now calling the “small city” of Richmond home, Kolby stays active (and competitive) outside of work with a steady rotation of basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and ping pong—basically, if it involves a ball and bragging rights, he’s in.
